M
u's portfolio
further
diversified its
holdings this year
by adding the digital
asset bitcoin to its
reserves. Some of this
bitcoin was raised
at the Mu Winter
Gathering when the Mu of DKE Foundation
raffled off a jar of honey harvested from a
beehive that had made the Temple its home.
The $500 winning bid by Zach Grobengieser
'07 was paid in the equivalent amount of the
digital cryptocurrency. Our modest holdings
are custodied in a dedicated Mu of DKE cold
storage device held at a confidential location.
The device's public/private key pair was
generated with entropy derived from digital
photos of our beloved Temple.
Any questions? Reach out to Zach at zachary.

his walkway. Joe's career in industrial color
film sales saw him travel internationally to
31 different countries. He and his wife liked
going to Broadway Theater and staying at the
Yale Club.
John Robinson '60 formed a company that
is skilled at helping colleges and universities
to think through how they can effectively
transform themselves to give students a better
shot at strong performance in their profession
and society. Technology has helped to
properly balance their needs to both learn and
become effective contributors over time. John
has served in higher education for some 50
years. Email: johnatrd@gmail.com
James Van Bourgondien '71 retired after
46 years in the home furnishings industry.

Dave Lake '75 loves returning each year
to the DKE house and spending time with
his brothers at the house, on the course,
in the tents, and way into the night. Dave

Lawrence River. Whenever he can, Dave
rides his Harley, which he purchased from
Dan Desmond '75 and Minuteman Harley
Davidson in Dartmouth, Mass. Dave and
Sallie are still a few years from retirement,
still healthy, and praying God lets them have
quality time together in their senior years with
family and friends. Dave writes, "I have to say
that truly, not a day goes by when I won't be
thinking about my times in the 'hoose' with
my brothers. ITB." Email: dlake@northcross.org
