ED Magazine March 2020 27 ExoticDancer.com ED: How did you get your start as a feature entertainer? MICHELLE: I got my start are a feature entertainer by entering my first ever EDI competition in June 2018. I had been wanting to enter some type of pole competition and after doing some research, I came across The EDI West and East. Not knowing anyone, I entered and came up with what I thought was specifically a pole competition. My act was less than five minutes! Haha! However, the three days I had spent in West Palm Beach, I met a bunch of entertainers and saw what featuring really was all about. To date, my titles include 2019 Miss Exotic United States Newcomer Grand Champion, 2019 Pole Dancer National Championships, 2019 Miss Exotic South Carolina, and EDI West 2019's Second Runner-Up and a nomination for ED's 2019 Newcomer of the Year Award. ED: What's been your most memorable performance? What made it so memorable? MICHELLE: I think my most memorable performance so far has been when I won Newcomer's Division in July of 2018 for FDNC, where I came out as an old lady character named Ingrid. The reasoning behind this is, even though I have other shows of mine that I enjoy more, earlier in that year of 2018, I was injured pretty badly where I couldn't even walk. I wrote about performing and types of music that made me feel something and how I wanted to get back on stage once I was better. I was determined to perform again and winning a title at something I was so new at was just an incredible feeling seven months post-injury. I felt like I was on cloud nine! ED: Who is a fellow entertainer that you've really leaned on to learn the ropes MICHELLE: Someone I feel that I have really leaned on is Angela Sommers. She truly has taken the time out of her life to listen and really be there for me. She's a wonderful and beautiful performer, a selfless entertainer who loves the industry and wants other women to excel, too! I appreciate you, Angela! ED: Why should a club owner book you; what do you feel makes you unique as a feature? MICHELLE: I bring a variety of theatrical skills to the stage with an abundance of energy and a huge smile. With a background in circus aerial arts including trapeze and pole, my physical theatre also includes dance, fire, and a special musical treat: the violin. There's never a dull moment when I'm on stage because my passion for performing art shines under any light.
