Peddicord, age 87, of Klamath Falls, Oregon, died De- cember 20, 2019 in Glendale, AZ, after a long battle with cancer. He was born on May 30, 1932 in Por- terville, CA to Clifford and Juanitas Peddicord. After high school, he en- listed in the USMC in August 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1954 at the rank of Sgt. And Korean War Veteran. After the military, he met his wife and was married to Ju- dith A. Kimond (Judy) on March 11, 1961. They had two children: Daniel and Julie. He worked several jobs including a long haul truck driver, heavy equipment operator, and farmer. In June of 1979, he moved his family to Yreka, CA where he be- came the Service Manager for Yre- ka Truck and Equipment until he retired. After retirement, he pur- chased an operated a bicycle shop in Yreka, CA called Chain Reaction Sports which he operated for a few years. He was also very involved in the Marine Corps League and was, at one time, Commandant of Cali- fornia's Marine Corps League. After closing the bicycle shop, he and Judy purchased a motor coach and became residents of Klamath Falls, OR and fulltime RVers trav- eling yearly to Quartzsite, AZ for the winters. Ernie enjoyed help- ing people by fi xing anything me- chanical you could think of, riding ATVs, hunting and socializing with his friends and family. Ernie is sur- vived by his son Daniel and his wife Tonya and their four children Trev- or, Marcus, Austyn and Loriah, his great grandson Mayson, his brother Dale, and his wife Teri. Ernie was preceded in life by his wife Judy and his daughter Julie. A graveside service followed by a celebration of his life will be held at a later date and time. The family sug- gests, in lieu of fl owers, please do- nate to your local chapter of the Ma- rine Corps League.
