Tuesday, March 17th , is a just be- cause wear a Funny Hat Day. Hap- py St. Patrick's Day to all. Saturday, March 28th, is our fi rst annual Read with A Friend Event. Children are encouraged to come and read with Our local QPD Ex- plorers Post 928, Quartzsite Police Offi cers and Fire Fighters. Penny, from Parents as Teachers will have her fun art activity. Arizona PBS will be participating, and hopefully bringing Clifford the Big Red dog. We have new books, handmade bookmarkers and amazing stuffed animals for the children. Let's model adults reading and enjoy- ing learning from the printed page. Event is during store hours 9:00 to 1:00. Our parking lot will be reconfi g- ured this day as we did for Santa Event in December. Store is open as event will take place on our front pad. Our new lap quilt raffl e fundraiser is now going to support QDP Torch Run for Special Olympics. Come donate or buy ticket/s for a sweet silver kitten applique with color- ful background patchwork fabric. Drawing will be March 31st. If you have borrowed medical needs items, please remember to return them. They are loaned out for two months. Remember our adult and child diaper program is available as needed. Please ask. A strong friendship doesn't need daily conversation or being together. As long as the friendship lives in the heart, true friends never part.
