All visitors to the show are able to vote for their favorite quilt in each category on Friday from 9AM - 4 PM. Award ribbons will be on the quilts on Saturday from 9AM - 3 PM. In addition to the displays there will be a Quilters Boutique, numer- ous vendors and door prizes. Ad- mission to the show is $2.00. Tickets for our Raffl e Quilt will be available during the show. The drawing for the quilt will be at the end of the day on Saturday. You need not be present to win! The winner will be notifi ed by phone. The entries for the show are open to members and non members on Thursday February 6. There are seven categories: Large, medium, and small quilts, Art quilts, Wall hangings, House- hold items, Wearable art This year our featured artist is Barb Williams. Barb is a self taught quilter. Her only training was home economics in school and the Nancy Zieman television show "Sewing with Nancy." Yet she has gone on to gain National Recognition in the Cher- rywood Fabric Challenge where she was required to make a 20" square quilt using hand dyed purple fabrics representing the singer Prince. Her quilt was juried to the fi nals and is still touring the country. She has also entered her work in the Bob Ross Challenge, her County Fair and of course our show. Barb has frequently shared her ex- pertise with our a Guild. For many years she taught classes on Painting with Stiks which brought so much pleasure to our members. We are proud to have you meet our former President and wonderful friend at the Quilt Show. After the show we will continue to meet on Tuesdays at the Senior Center from 9AM - 3 PM. Thursday Feb- ruary 20 at the Senior Center!!! Patty Knoechel, Eleanor Burns sister from Quilt in a Day, will be teaching a class on the beautiful Moon Dance pat- tern. It can be made as a 35"x 46" wall hanging or a 68" x 92" lap quilt. The class is $20. You will need a pattern for $7 and a ruler for $12. We feel very hon- ored to have Patty come and know everyone will have a won- derful day. Hope to see you at the Show!
