26 2010 TEHAMA COUNTYMEDICAL GUIDE St. Elizabeth Community Hospital A member of CHW Maternal Child Services at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital Compassionate, friendly care in a calm, healing environment awaits you in our Maternal Child center at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. You will feel confident in our progressive technology and services to help make sure your delivery and the arrival of your baby is a safe and secure experience. Just as your baby is unique, your birth experience is too. We offer a variety of birthing options. You choose what you prefer, in consultation with your physician and within your health requirements: doctor, midwife, doula, traditional birth, and water birth are options we proudly support in our maternal child center. During labor, walking can be helpful for moms waiting to give birth. Our facility offers a variety of beautiful, calming gardens and pathways, including a spiritual garden, complete with park benches and water features. Our expert nursing team uses a Doppler fetal monitoring system to ensure your baby’s well-being during labor, so expectant mothers can walk with confidence and security. Meet other families who share your birthing experience through our family and new baby portraits displayed within the maternal child wing and offered by one of Tehama County’s best, We Shoot Ya Photography. Comfortable, private maternity suites equipped with the latest medical equipment permit labor, delivery, and recovery to take place within the same room, with your own doctor or midwife in attendance, and family members or friends standing close by for support and encouragement. After your baby arrives, our registered nurses stand ready to assist you with your baby including a certified lactation consultant. See the Babies in our Virtual Nursery Friends and family near and far can meet your new little one through the St. Elizabeth Virtual Nursery (http://www.newbabynews.net/hospitals/st e17/public/).
