46 | Januar y 2020 You may be a little nervous, which is perfectly normal. I tell those taking my classes that no one expects you to run a marathon the first day. No one expects you to be able to keep up, know the format or be as good as the person next to you. Just try to relax, focus on having fun, and you'll catch on in no time. Fitness technology now offers many wearable items for monitoring your heart rate and day-to-day activities. But if you are not wearing a monitor, there is an easy way to know what level that you are working at, and it is called "e Talk Test." If you can carry on a conversation, your pace is easy. If you can only get a few words or short sentence in, then your pace is moderate. And if you all you can comfortably manage is to nod your head, then you are at the top of your plateau. Ultimately, no one knows your body better than you, and it's important to listen! You will also hear the term "range of motion." at term refers to the capacity at which you feel comfortable in an exercise. Discomfort is acceptable, but pain is a clear sign to discontinue or modify an exercise. Instructors are trained to show modifications for exercises. I will show participants different levels and give each a choice. Choices are great tools for the beginner and advanced participant! Your muscles are trying something new and taking it slow is the key. Muscle soreness is normal but overdoing it could make your first experience unpleasant. Everyone's preference is different, but as for me, I prefer classes. I began with Zumba at e Spa Fitness Center. Gradually, I began adding other classes to my schedule, including barre, cycling, weightliing, kickboxing and yoga. The benefits of exercise can also make an improvement with health issues such as diabetes, arthritis, cardiac problems, pulmonary issues and osteoporosis. Our physical health includes cardio fitness, muscular endurance, strength, flexibility and body composition. Skill-related health comes with agility, coordination, balance, power, reaction time and speed.
