Centers require instructors to be certified in CPR and many require additional education, such as certifications in group fitness and personal training. Fayetteville offers a large and varied number of fitness centers and gyms when it comes to size and price packaging. Fitness centers and gyms are not the only choices; there are walking groups, running groups, tennis leagues, individual classes and recreation centers. Selection is a personal one subject to your interests. Amenities may include a pool, dry sauna, steam room, juice and food bar or a separate exercise room for women. You should consider whether you are interested in the availability of personal trainers, senior fitness classes and other classes such as barre, yoga, Pilates, Zumba, weightliing, dance, water aerobics, Cross Fit and cycling. Do you like liing free weights or utilizing the floor equipment? Do you like a larger facility, and do you feel as Ross instructs The Fayetteville Technical College Trojans baseball team in stretching, flexibility and core-strengthening. Some of the participants in Ross's barre class are seniors who range in age from 50 to 80. She says they pump out the balance, stamina, flexibility, core and stretching of participants half their age.
