Evan, dressed like a young baron in
a dark sports jacket and khaki pants,
was wearing the first of what would
be three costume changes while a
CityView photographer scoured the
5-bedroom, 4-bath unit to select images
to document.
Yes, Evan badly wanted to be
photographed, too.
Soon, he had changed from the
ersatz Little Lord Fauntleroy look to
more informal active wear, T-shirt and
shorts, while waving around a Power
Ranger Ninjas sword.
What was the young fella's take
on his handsome home in the
condominium complex?
"It's too big. It gets me big sick,"
Evan said with a turn of the head as he
headed up the stairs.
When Patrick Callahan first moved
in, he was living in a more modest
condo on the second floor.
"Which was great for us until we had
Evan," his wife said.
Aer moving on up into the
penthouse unit, the Callahans added
three bedrooms to their space. Upstairs,
two bedrooms and a playroom have
been outfitted for the girls from what
had been a large bonus room and closet
for when they visit from their home in
Westchester, Massachusetts. Downstairs,
Evan's room and closet were formatted
from a former ladies closet.
e Callahans have decorated the
condo — one of the more spacious of
the four penthouse units on the fourth
floor — in a contemporary style. Patrick
Callahan described it as a blend of
traditional elements and a more modern
New York style. e couple credit
Patrick Leclair as a recent influence.
Among other personal touches, Leclair
is responsible for the horizontal beam
ladder decorated seasonally with fresh
floral arrangements in the living and
dining rooms.
