Town of Quartzsite will host an Open Meeting Law overview on January 21, 2020 at 3:00pm at Town Hall. The Open Meeting guides the public body when structuring a city or town council meeting, advisory group, subcommittee or work ses- sion and offers a reminder that any ambiguity in the law should favor transparency to the public. It is public policy of this state that meetings of public bodies be con- ducted openly and that notices and agendas be proved for such meet- ings which contain such informa- tion as is reasonably necessary to inform the public of the matters to be discussed or decided. Accord- ingly, Arizona's Open meeting Law must be construed in favor of open and public meetings. The training will be conducted by the Town's Attorney, Susan Goodwin and is open to the public. Anyone in- terested in learning more about Ari- zona's Open Meeting Laws are wel- come to attend this free training. For more information, contact Quartzsite Town Hall, 928-927-4333.
