ur chapter, and all 60 individual members, continue flourishing
in numerous areas. The chapter excels in officer accountability,
resulting in increased success for both our internal and external
operations.
Focused on Academics
Academically, the executive council and academic committee are
implementing improvements to our program to push our chapter to
new academic heights. Our GPA is back on the rise and nearing the
IFC average. We look forward to seeing further improvements this
semester.
Giving Back a Top Priority
We've raised our philanthropic standards extremely high this year. Our
Cookout for Kids event, which benefits Children's Miracle Network,
brought in $2,500. Several members will be participating in Dance
Marathon, Up Til' Dawn, and other campus events supporting notable
charities. We are determined to make a larger impact within the Office of
Sorority and Fraternity Engagement, and several members have applied
for executive positions within IFC, Greek Week, and other committees.
Making Time for Intramurals and Fun
Our chapter won this fall's ultimate frisbee intramural tournament, in
addition to competing in numerous other events. For the first time, we
were considered a big chapter for the Greek Homecoming activities, and
we were excited to be paired with Tri Delta and Chi Phi.
Iowa Xi is excelling across the board. Our leadership team is working
hard to keep our operations headed in the right direction and honoring
Undergraduates were proud to support Alpha Gamma Delta's Nugget Jam
philanthropy event supporting Stomp Out Hunger in September.
