It's actually a hybrid mint -- a cross between water mint & spearmint. Peppermint is one of the most popular herbs in the food industry. One can grow it easily in moderate climates, but beware -- it's very invasive!! Peppermint is an excellent diges- tive aid. It soothes & calms the digestive system. It also helps to get rid of gas, indigestion, heart- burn, morning sickness, motion sickness, cramping, stomach aches, headaches & even IBS. I love it as a tea/tisane with some raw honey! *Good for relaxing nerves & im- proving circulation. *Improves digestion when con- sumed after meals. *Mild tea can be added to bath to gently bring down a fever. *Contains calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, potassium & manganese. *Mild peppermint tea rubbed on baby's tummy can help relieve colic & promote relaxation, especially when combined with chamomile. *A cup of strong tea in a bath can help relax muscles. *Anti-bacterial, antioxidant, antispasmodic, health promoting properties. *Rich in essential oils, vitamins A, C, E K & many B vitamins, dietary fi ber & carotene. *Helps to control blood cholesterol & blood pressure. *Contains potassium, an important component of cells & body fl uids to help control heart rate & blood pres- sure. *Enhances memory & helps to increase alertness. In 2020, our nation will conduct the once-a-decade Census with the goal to count every person living in the United States once, only once and in the right place. Everyone matters and responding to the Census helps com- munities get their fair share of fed- eral funding. Census data guides how more than $675 billion in funding gets distributed to states and communi- ties each year and helps communities create jobs, provide housing, prepare for emergencies, and build schools, roads and hospitals. The Census also helps determine how many seats a state receives in Congress and state and local gov- ernments use the data to redraw boundaries for congressional dis- tricts, state legislative districts and school districts, adapting to popula- tion shifts. The 2020 Census is easy, safe and important. Responding is easier than ever since for the fi rst time, people will be able to respond to the Census online. It asks just a few questions and takes a few minutes to respond. Your responses are safe, secure, confi dential and protected by law. If you respond online, your answers are encrypted to protect your privacy and are safe from hack- ing and other cyber threats. If you don't have Internet access, people can respond by phone or by mail. Conducting the Census is a massive undertaking and requires years of planning with the support of thou- sands of people. As the 2020 Cen- sus approaches, our success will rely on everyone's participation in every community. The opportunities will come through temporary jobs na- tionwide for multiple positions. We have jobs available in La Paz County you can apply on 2020census.gov/ jobs or USAjobs.gov. Census outreach also consists of building relationships in the com- munity where Area Census Offi ces are located. For the past several months, the Census has garnered support from local communities, governments and school districts throughout the La Paz community.
