Arizona Treasurer Kimberly Yee visits Parker

Kimberly Yee in Parker, Arizona on Tuesday, November 5th.

Paz County and Town of Parker staff and offi cials attending. Yee was
traveling the state meeting with local offi cials in rural communities. She
said, "All our laws affect every Arizona citizen, not just our legislative
districts."
As Arizona's chief banking and investment offi cer, Yee safeguards ap-
proximately $15 billion in assets and stewards the cash management of
Arizona's $40 billion state budget. As Treasurer, she also serves as the
Chairman of the State Board of Investment and the State Loan Commis-
sion and is a member of the State Land Selection Board.
Yee spoke about managing funds from the Local Government Invest-
ment Pool and explained investment options for local governments.
A longtime advocate of fi nancial literacy, she passed laws during her
legislative tenure to require the state's academic standards to include
fi nancial education benchmarks in grades K-12 and developed a state
seal on high school diplomas earned by students who master profi ciency
in personal fi nance.
Yee stated, "I really feel Arizona is strong in our economy. In fact, on
June 25, we hit an all time Arizona historical high with 3.75 Billion dol-
lars in the bank."
