W
hat's more fun
than decorating
your home for
Christmas?
For many
people, it's seeing how other people
have decorated their homes for the
holidays.
Two annual events in Fayetteville
offer opportunities for such glimpses –
the Downtown Candlelight Lo Tour,
hosted by the Cool Spring Downtown
District, and the Christmas Tour of
Homes, hosted by the Heritage Square
Historical Society.
e lo tour is set for ursday,
December 5.
e Christmas Tour of Homes is
three days later – on Sunday, Dec. 8.
Don't think that either tour can
substitute for the other. Both offer
unique and beautiful views of different
ways of living – and celebrating the
holidays – in Fayetteville. e lo
tour showcases downtown living in
los, apartments, townhomes and
condominiums. It's a walking tour.
Meanwhile, the Heritage Square
tour focuses on standalone homes that
are within easy driving distance of
each other. Both tours are fundraisers
for their nonprofit hosts.

As this issue of CityView was
heading to the printer, the details of
this tour were still being worked out.
But several downtown residents had
already committed to opening their
homes to the tour.
