A s president of the House Corporation Board, I often get asked: "What does the HCB do and how does this differ from the chapter advisory role?" The HCB is comprised of current collegiate and alumnae members of Alpha Phi. These members are typically Omicron members, but alumnae from other chapters are welcome. The HCB members are nominated and elected at the annual meeting of the HCB. They serve three-year terms for a maximum of three consecutive terms. Unlike chapter advisors, who offer support and guidance to the chapter women, the HCB is responsible for ensuring the integrity and safety of Omicron's housing while providing a competitive housing environment for the chapter. Quarterly meetings are normally held in the chapter house library (formerly the formal living room). WHO IS ON THE BOARD? Our diverse group of women represents varying class eras, geographic locations, and professional disciplines, and includes lawyers, bankers, architects, accountants, and human resource professionals to name a few. See below for a list of the HCB members. Feel free to reach out to any member if you have a question about the house or have interest in participating. WHERE DO DONATIONS GO? In each newsletter, we ask for donations to the Omicron house. One of the misconceptions is that the donations received through our appeals go to the chapter women. Donations go directly to the upkeep and renovations to our physical house and annex and are not used for chapter social functions. Please consider supporting Omicron and help to maintain 906. All donations are appreciated and needed! Thank you for your support and please reach out to me at any time.
