D
uring the 2019 spring semester, Psi Chapter went through
another successful recruitment and pledge season, admitting 22
new members in the spring pledge class of 2019. Jinks Jervey
'20 and Nate Shirley '20 studied abroad for a semester in Valencia,
Spain, and Copenhagen, Denmark, respectively. Almost half of the
Brotherhood received Dean's List honors during the spring semester.
Three active Brothers are playing on varsity sports teams: Cameron
Basco '20 (soccer) and Colin Dixon '21 and Shane Eilers '21 (football).
All six class of 2021 applicants to the McIntire School of Commerce
were admitted and are starting classes this fall.
After successfully implementing changes to the structure of our Derby
Days philanthropy event, we increased participation by sororities
compared to last year and remained the most successful fraternity
philanthropy event on Grounds, raising over $15,000 for the Children's
Miracle Network at the UVA Health System. The spring semester also
saw the revival of the House Band featuring Henry Clabby '20 (rhythm
guitar), Jason Hess '20 (lead guitar), Tyler Lohmeyer '20 (bass), South
Patterson '19 (drums), Connor Fair '19 (vocals), and Cate Elcan '20
(Tri Delta, vocals). They played at Coupe DeVille's in Charlottesville
and during our Bahamas Party in April.
We are proud of the 24 Brothers who graduated in the class of 2019 and
wish them the best of luck starting their careers!
