It's all in the name of finding great things to show you. You may not get to personally visit the beautiful private homes that we are privileged to highlight. But I hope you'll consider taking in the public sights, scenes, events and general fun stuff that you see in CityView. Like local theater. You'll find a different experience wherever you go – except for uniformity in excellent productions – so visit all of them. During the fun and free-wheeling preshow or intermission at a Sweet Tea Shakespeare production, you'll probably be offered the chance to take a selfie while holding a picture frame. You may even get to put on an Elizabethan-style ruff like Matthew in the photo above. (My crown was too big so it's around my neck.) You can read about local theater options in this, our Culture & Community issue. ere are also stories that touch on local history, including downtown carriage rides, some of the many books about the Fayetteville area's past and beautiful and welcoming St. Joseph's Episcopal Church. You can also learn about Seth's Wish, a nonprofit helping the poor and homeless. And feast your eyes on two lovely homes. Don't worry about the whereabouts of columnist Bill McFadyen. He'll be back in our next issue. Do check out Inside Fayetteville for things to do this month. See you out and about! Catherine
