Join FAST for the 2019 Annual Bus Roadeo! FAST will be holding our annual driver skills competition Roadeo on Sunday, October 6 at noon at the FAST Administrative Office at 455 Grove Street. The roadeo is a competition that tests the skills and knowledge of bus operators. The competition puts participants through a precise 11-point obstacle course that represents the types of manuevers a bus operator would perform while on his or her daily route. This event is open to the public. Volunteers are needed to judge each obstacle. Interested persons should contact Melissa Moses at mmoses@ci.fay.nc.us. Visit the Transportation & Local History Museum The Fayetteville Area Transportation and Local History Museum is the hub for history in Downtown Fayetteville. From the history enthusiast to families looking for fun, there is something for everyone here. The museum is located 325 Franklin Street in downtown Fayetteville. Open to the public Tues.-Sat. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free. Get Prepared for Hurricane Season Get prepared for Hurricane Season by visiting the City's Storm Information Center. The website contains useful information and links to keep you and your family safe during a storm. This will also be the place to find current and up-to-date information from the City during a hurricane. For more information go to FayettevilleNC.gov/storm or download the City's mobile app on your iPhone or Android device to receive push notifications during weather events and other emergencies. Sign Up For the City's E-Newsletter The City of Fayetteville has a citizen E-newsletter titled City Happenings. The E-newsletter keeps residents informed of what the City is doing to support them. It is published to subscribers every two weeks on a Mondays. Residents can subscribe directly here: http://eepurl.com/dj4W5T. Citizens can also subscribe to the E-Newsletter on the City's website by logging onto FayettevilleNC.gov via a subscription link at the top of the City website that says: "Subscribe to e-News." Download the City's Mobile App On Your Smartphone The City of Fayetteville's mobile app helps residents access City-related information in a very user-friendly format using their smart phones. The app is tied directly to the City's mobile-friendly website, FayettevilleNC.gov. This is the next step in the process of helping residents more easily find the information they need to connect with their City. Residents are encouraged to download the app, titled Fayetteville NC, which is available for free in the Apple App Store for iPhones and Google Play for Android devices. FayTV is available to subscribers of Spectrum Cable and all content is available for viewing on YouTube on-demand.
