Landree says she wants to improve her confi- dence, ability to speak in public and meet new people while representing Lincoln Riding Club. LINCOLN — As a young girl Kinsey Driver became fasci- nated with rodeo queens. Looking at her mother, Becky Cox, of Springdale, Kinsey proclaimed, "That's what I want to become." That dream got put on hold until recently. Now, Driver spurs her horse, chasing that dream as a bona fide candidate for 2019 Lincoln Riding Club queen. "I want to be a positive role model and show girls it's never too late to start," Driver said. Driver, now 21, is taking classes at Northwest Arkan- sas Community College (NWACC) pursuing a nurs- ing degree and wants to become a Registered Nurse. Driver rode a lot when she was younger and decided to start riding again last year with her horse named Bay. Driver has competed in ranch rodeos, as well as other queen competitions, and thrilled with being a part of the Rodeo of the Ozarks Rounders Drill Team. Driver recently started barrel racing. Driver was very active in high school sports. She competed in volleyball, basketball, and trap shoot- ing. Driver loves to hunt and fish and play with her dog, Pepper Lou. While in high school Driver maintained a commitment do at least 300 hours of community service for various organizations each year. Despite this diverse activ- ity, Driver never totally let go of her dream and admits her priorities reverted to what she valued in childhood. Rodeo recently became a huge part of her life. "I want to be Miss Lincoln Riding Club because since I was a little girl I would watch the rodeo queens and tell my mom that's what I want to become," Driver said. 2B Enterprise-Leader Wednesday, August 7, 2019 R o d e o A-1 Mini Storage 479-824-5588 600 W Pridemore Dr. Lincoln, AR 72744 Come Join The Fun! at the Lincoln Rodeo a1ministoragecenter.com West Washington County CliniC Located on the square in Lincoln • 479-824-3196 Your family medical home. That was 17 years ago and Bailee knew from day one that timing can make or break a rodeo competitor. Bailee was literally born into rodeo. Her mom went into labor with her headed to the finals and 14 days later Bailee attended her first rodeo. Both parents, uncles, and grandfather rode in the PRCA. Rodeo runs deep in her family roots. Keeping in tune with her history of discovering opportunistic timing, Bailee, 17-year-old daughter of Amy Fox, of Gentry, declared her candidacy for 2019 Lincoln Riding Club queen. Bailee has been raised in the rodeo world, from the time she could hold herself up there she was on a horse. The horse Bailee will be using in the LRC queen competition is named Gunner. Bailee has competed in barrel racing for as long as she can remember and has won numerous awards and titles. Bailee said she "abso- lutely loves to haul young horses to playdays and watch them learn and grow." Bailee has held numerous rodeo royalty titles: Colcord swe e t h e a r t 20 1 3, S co tt County Rodeo Princess 2014, Colcord Rodeo Princess 2015, Westville Rodeo Queen 2016, Rodeo of the Ozark's Horse- manship winner 2017, and Colcord Rodeo Queen 2017. B a i l e e e n j oye d b e i n g involved in FFA and compet- ing on her chapter's Food Science Team and Parliamen- tary Procedures Team. Bailee enjoys baking, gardening, making T-shirts, spending time with friends and family and being lazy at the lake. Bailee has always been on the honor roll and graduated from Gentry High School a full year early with honors. Fresh on the heels of that accomplishment, Bailee enrolled at Career Academy of Hair Designs where she is a freshman majoring in cosmetology. Once Bailee graduates, she plans to own and operate her own salon. Bailee involves herself with community service, espe- cially with the elderly. " B e i n g M i s s L i n c o l n Riding Club would allow me to combine my love for the rodeo industry, educating the public and my horses," Bailee said. "Given the chance to be Miss LRC will allow me to show my passion for an amazing sport, all while representing one of my personal favorite rodeos."
