LINCOLN — Rodeo fans swarm to the small town of Lincoln, Arkan- sas by the pickup and car loads eager to catch all the action of the annual Lincoln Riding Club Rodeo. The event has been going strong for 66 years and top-notch cowboys and cowgirls marked this year's dates of Aug. 8-10 on their calen- dars well in advance as did a host of royalty candidates, precision drill teams, varied guests and fans. In addition to three rodeo perfor- mances, starting Thursday at 8 p.m. followed by Friday and Saturday night opportunities for competi- tors to get in the money; precision drill teams, the Regulators and the Arkansas Fillies, both spinoffs of the LINCOLN — Judy Gail McNeely did her utmost as Miss 65th Annual Lincoln Riding Club junior queen to showcase the best of rodeo. Judy Gail has traveled to multiple states to promote Lincoln Riding Club, the rodeo, and preserve the western heritage through promo- tional events and rodeo appear- ances. Her journey towards rodeo royalty began when she joined the Regulators, Lincoln Riding Club's precision drill team in 2017 where she became part of a rodeo family and fell in love with rodeo, the atmosphere and fans. Her desire to share her new found love for rodeo and also some encouragement from the team led to her running for LRC royalty. A Lasting Impact LINCOLN — As the sun sets on her reign as 65th Lincoln Rodeo queen, Kylee Bobacher feels honored to have had the privilege she experi- enced as Miss Lincoln Riding Club. Kylee wishes to share her personal motto, "take chances, make that leap, you never know where it may lead you," with fans attending the 66th annual Lincoln Rodeo, especially so with contes- tants for the 2019 LRC royalty. S i m i l a r p h r a s e s c i r c u l a t e frequently among rodeo circles, yet Kylee knows living a dream extends well past what transpires within the spotlight of the rodeo arena or pageant showcase. Kylee, 18, daughter of Saun- cie Turn and Mark Bobacher, of Anderson, Mo., has a soft spot for rescuing strays, even though she is not supposed to bring them home. Kylee will be a senior at West- ville, Okla., High School this fall and hopes to one day become a veterinarian. Kylee has always had a passion for horses and has been riding since she was big enough to climb the fence to get on her first horse, King. Rodeo Princess Enjoyed Promotion FARMINGTON — Chloie Thomas, 2018 Lincoln Riding Club rodeo princess, has been riding since she was big enough to sit up and hold on to the saddle horn. That experience inspired her and Chloie is already developing a cowgirl's ambition. She has some big plans beyond completing her reign as LRC princess. Chloie is the 11-year-old daughter of Andrew and Ashley Thomas, of Farmington. She just completed the fifth grade at Farmington's Randall Lynch Middle School. Among her career ambitions, Chloie plans to train horses while getting her degree to become an equine veter- inarian. Her affection for horses origi- nated in the saddle. Ever since she could situate herself on horseback and hold on to the saddle horn, Chloie has been riding. She has two horses, Missy and Dan, that have her heart and she is so thank- ful to call hers. Chloie feels that becoming the Lincoln Riding Club Princess is a way for girls like her to further promote the great sport of rodeo. She's grateful to have represented Lincoln Riding Club as their prin- cess at multiple rodeos through- out the year. She enjoyed making friends and encouraging others to run in rodeo royalty pageants. Chloie enjoys playing softball and basketball, but her passion is participating in rodeo and showing pigs. She has enjoyed being able to participate in rodeo and pig shows at a national level and will continue to do so throughout the summer and fall of 2019. Chloie has enjoyed representing this past year as the 65th annual LRC Rodeo Princess. She loved being able to carry the American flag at her junior rodeos, carry sponsorship flags for multiple rodeo boards, passing out mutton bustin' awards to very deserving little cowboys and cowgirls, signing autographs for future rodeo prin- cesses and fans, and making new friends throughout the process.
