NO BULLY BISCUITS FOR
KIDS IN THE KITCHEN,
ONLY
KINDNESS!
A kitchen is a busy place in any house. You can test this
by putting a piece of paper on the counter and every time
anyone, you or a family member, walks in the kitchen, they
have to make a mark on the paper. Count up all the marks
before you go to bed. You'll be surprised to see how many
trips to the refrigerator and sink and cabinets happen each
day.
With so much traffic, keeping a kitchen clean and neat helps
to make cooking fun. When everything is tidy and in its place,
you can easily to find stuff for recipes and that makes it more
fun to cook. You don't want to have to clean up the kitchen
first, then cook, and clean it again.
Show a little kitchen kindness and make kitchen life easier
for everyone with these little tips:
• Pick one glass to use for the day and wash it out if needed
• Wipe off the counter or table after you get a snack
• Wash the dishes and silverware you use, and offer to wash
for others
• Take the trash out without being asked
• Help the cook by gathering ingredients and putting them
back when done
• Ask if you can help keep track of the time for dinner to be
done
• Don't leave book bags and stuff all over the table or bar.
• After a meal, pick up everyone's plates
• Load the dishwasher or wash the dishes
• Help put the leftovers away
