J 2, 2010 POLLS FROM PAGE 6 VOTER, of course! YOU are the only reason!! Contrary to popular belief, we don’t really care who wins or loses by the time we attain the Closing hour(s) of an Election. It is all about reconcil- ing the numbers and balancing to the penny. Lady Justice is blindfolded for a reason and her scales are equal! As is ours for an Election. Now, don’t get me wrong, not that we aren’t con- cerned about the issues and if our person got elected, OF COURSE we are, we voted, didn’t we? but personal agendas do not compute and compete during an Election and certainly NOT at the end of the night. Only one thing, and one thing ONLY, matters at that point. And that is to B-A-L-A-N-C-E. And to think that when I started do- ing this 8 or 9 years ago, I thought we did it for free, you know, pure volun- teer? But, no…we are DEFINITELY in it for the money. A whopping $100 per Election. Yeah, right…I have some ocean front property here in Arizona I would like to sell you, too. NOT!!! This, in truth, is a pure, selfl ess act for other people. For YOU! So to all you VOTERS who came out in full force this last Election? THANK YOU for doing it up and doing it up right!!! We appreciate the attitude of gratitude voiced to us during an ex- tremely grueling day, but as it is with good ole hard work, it never hurt any- body and it makes you sleep better.
