For our Summer Lunches, please come early and pay by 11:45, Lunch is served by 12 noon. Donation is only $3.50. You can call to reserve lunches. Membership meeting will be Tuesday, June 18th at 12:30 pm. Lunches are being served Monday, Wednesday, Friday until end of May. Yard Sale is 3rd Saturday of the month all summer long. 7am-noon. Arts & Crafts group meet Wednesdays at 12:30pm. Card games, too. Drop in and cool off this summer; WiFi available, too! Stay tuned for more updates! Senior Center updates Diaper Drive JUNE 1st- JULY 1st Carol's Closet will be collecting diapers and wipes for local, low-income families with babies and toddlers. These families can then come into Carol's Closet each month and receive the donated items they need. The organization currently serves low-income, local families with diapers and wipes. They also want to help raise awareness of this silent need. Diaper need is the lack of a suffi cient amount of diapers to keep baby or toddler clean, dry, and healthy. 1 in 3 American families experi- ence diaper need. Disposable diapers can cost $70 to $80 per month per baby or more. Infants require up to 12 diapers per day, toddlers about 8. 5.2 million children in the U.S. ages three or younger live in poor or low-income families. No state or federal child safety-net program allocates dollars specifi - cally for the purchase of diapers. You can drop off donations at Carol's Closet, Dollar General, or Family Dollar.
