May marks a particularly busy time at the museum, with
visitors flooding in during the 82nd Airborne Division
Association's annual All American Week, which starts May
20 this year, and before, on and aer Memorial Day. From
May 18 through June 22, 800 American flags will flutter on
the museum's parade ground, part of the 12th annual Field
of Honor, which is a tribute to military service members, past
and present.
e foundation hopes the museum will attract even more
visitors as a result of the new Minor League Baseball stadium
that just opened a few steps away. Mileshko said there are
plans to start opening the museum gate fronting on Hay
Street on game days so people can enter that way. Currently,
the museum is usually accessible only through the entrance
that faces its parking lot, which is off Bragg Boulevard.

foundation is charging people $20 to park there during
baseball games. Mileshko said the foundation will figure out
how to set aside spaces for museum visitors on the Sunday

bit of money will help keep the museum an important and
popular place to visit.
