3 Alpha Tau Omega www.ATOnebraska.org A s a business manager in the aerospace in- dustry for 30 years, John Kerwin '57 felt fortunate to work in an environment that he enjoyed throughout his career. Prior to entering the field of aerospace, John made sure to surround him- self with people who would push him to be his best in college. John considers joining the Gamma Theta Chapter of Alpha Tau Omega to be one of the best decisions that he has ever made. "Because of the ATWs at the University of Nebras- ka-Lincoln, I had a successful career," John said. The Gamma Theta Chapter continues to be a big part of John's life. Some of his best friends are Winston Wade '58, Phil Case '59, Art Blackman '58, and Chuck Huston '57. The long-lasting friendships that John has from Al- pha Tau Omega made him realize that he was a part of an organization that not only made a big difference in his life, but thousands of others as well. That's why it was an easy decision for John to give to the chapter's capital campaign and encourage ATW brothers from his era to do the same. "I wanted new members to have the same feeling and same experience that I had," John said. John has many fond memories of his time as an un- dergraduate at UNL. Along with having success in the classroom, John's favorite activities included at- tending Nebraska football games and ATW parties. "They represented all of the good things in America and college life," John said. Sports are still one of John's favorite hobbies. John remains active by playing tennis and skiing. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, and three sons, Phil, Mike, and Paul. Family has always been very important to John, and he feels the same way about Alpha Tau Omega. "I feel very thankful that I was a member of ATW," John said. If you would like to connect with John, you can reach out at (714) 813- 0599.
