T he Sigma House Corporation Board continues to take strides to update the house and provide our active members with a beautiful and functional space. To that end, there are several improvement projects planned for this summer. Our former chapter room addition (now the TV room) will undergo a makeover, receiving updated furnishings and textiles. The built-in computer stalls will be removed, opening up the room and creating more space. The room will transform from dark and brown to light and airy. The floral carpeting that has adorned the stairs and upstairs hallways for decades will be replaced with new, modern, and durable carpet. Our biggest project is renovation of the basement laundry room. This space is going to be completely updated, to a cost of $70,000. Maintaining the chapter house is an unending task that requires significant capital. Please consider using our new online giving form, or the enclosed envelope, to give what you can to help Sigma remain a beautiful and competitive chapter on The Hill. As alumnae, it's up to us to care for and love our Sigma home.
