I t is hard to believe that another academic year is coming to a close. We have had a great year at Chi Omega. The women did an amazing job in Rock Chalk Revue and continue to be recognized as leaders on campus. You can definitely be proud to know that the great tradition of Chi Omega-Lambda excellence continues. One person that is vital to the success of Lambda is Norma Jeanne Doleshal. As many of you know, Norma Jeanne has been our outstanding house director for 18 years. She has steadfastly served the role of manager of the facility, "Mom" to our precious members, loyal employee to the House Corporation, leader to our employees, beloved customer to our vendors, and dear friend to us all. Norma Jeanne has without a doubt been a key reason for the success of our Chapter. That is why it is truly bittersweet to let you know that Norma Jeanne has announced she is retiring as our beloved house director. While we are sad to see Norma Jeanne leave, we know that she deserves time to relax and enjoy her family and friends, and we are excited for her. In addition, Norma Jeanne celebrates an important birthday milestone in May, when she turns 90 years old. We know that we will have the near-impossible task of finding someone to fill her shoes. We will begin our search in the coming months and will definitely take Norma Jeanne up on her offer to help train the new house director. We know that Norma Jeanne has touched many of your lives. We will be celebrating Norma Jeanne, both birthday and retirement, on May 5 at the Chapter House (details below). If you are unable to join the celebration, please feel free to drop a note to Norma Jeanne and/or make a donation in Norma Jeanne's name to the Owl Foundation. We know she will love hearing from you.
