36 Outdoor Recreation William B. Ide Adobe State Historic Park This state park in Red Bluff is dedicated to the former President of the Bear Flag Republic, William B. Ide. Visitors can relive 1850s life. The park features the adobe 21659 Adobe Road, Daily, 8 a.m.-sunset 529-8599 ideadobe.tehama.k12.ca.us building, working blacksmith shop and a small visitors center. Visitors are welcome any time throughout the year to experience craft demonstrations and events showcasing California life in the 1850s. Parking is $3. Red Bluff Parks Reservations for Red Bluff parks can be made by calling the parks and recreation department at (530) 527-8177. Red Bluff River Park, at 100 Main St., has McGlynn Pool, Saturday Farmers Market, a picnic area and barbecue. Dog Island Park, at 1360 Main St., offers picnic areas, firepits, barbecue, horseshoe pits and unpaved trails. Trainor Park, 1000 Vista Way, has lit ball fields, picnic areas and playground. Forward Park, 1850 Monroe Ave., has a seasonal creek with unpaved trails, two playgrounds, basketball court, picnic areas, horseshoe pits and barbecues. Lots for Tots, 1500 Duncan St., has a playground and grassy area to play. Diamond Park, 700 Diamond Ave., has a skate park, basketball court, play structure, ball field, picnic area and barbecue.
