About the Miss Dogwood
Festival Pageant
The Miss Dogwood Pageant started
in the early '90's and has grown into a
precursor for the Miss Arkansas Pageant.
Miss Heart of the Ozarks and Miss
Dogwood are open to miss and teen
contestants who live in the following
counties: Washington, Benton, Madison,
Baxter, Carroll, Boone, Crawford and
Marion. Students attending college in one
of these counties must have completed
one full-time semester of college (at least
12 hours) and presently be enrolled and
attending classes on a full-time basis.
The Miss Heart of the Ozarks
Scholarship Association is a part of the
world's largest scholarship provider
for young women, the Miss America
organization.
