I
am pleased to report that the actives continue to provide
strong leadership and the chapter continues aggressively
on the upswing. For the spring 2019 semester, the chap-
ter house is once again full, with 59 men living in. The house
has never looked better and the chapter budget is in solid
shape. Please read the chapter update by Nathan Jackson
'21 on page 3.
A sincere thanks to each of you for your tremendous support
in donating over $325,000 for our summer 2017 kitchen and
dining room remodel project. Our next major improvement
project is the chapter house HVAC system, which ranges
from 24 years old for the air conditioning to over 50 years
old for the boiler. The total project cost will be approximately
$150,000. This project had been on the House Corporation
radar, and we have been fundraising toward this purpose over
the last year, but now the need is immediate.
Over the weekend of September 15-16, 2018, our air condi-
tioning unit failed. The unit dates back to 1994 and will cost
approximately $50,000 to replace. We have raised approxi-
mately $30,000 to date. Your continued support is greatly
appreciated.
