Quartzsite and Ehrenberg Elementary Track Teams traveled to Salome
last week for their annual track meet. Coach Ron commented on the
Quartzsite Elementary School (QES) team, "We had a really small team
compared to those schools that sent 25 to 30 students per team. The
Scorpion team had 11 athletes and I would like to thank them for their
courage and dedication."
Allison Myhres from QES placed 1st in long jump, 2nd place in 100 me-
ters and 3rd place in 200 meters. Matthew Killingbeck from QES placed
2nd in shot put and 2nd in discus. The EES track team earned 3 - 2nd
place team trophies with the 5th/6th boys, 7th/8th boys and 7th/8th
girls. Congrats to all participating athletes!
