The adobe remnants of Anton Hagely's Feed store remain. Heirs of the former owner, George Hagely, have the property for sale. Over the years, as an offi cial elected to be the Justice of the Peace in Quartzsite, AZ, Judge Hagely served eight terms. He passed away Oc- tober 16, 1997. Hagely was known as "the Marrying Judge" because Arizona had no waiting period before a couple could get married unlike adjoining California. At last count the judge had performed over 43,000 weddings and over 7,000 criminal trials. In by-gone days he married a few notables- Al Jolson (his 5th wife), Sheree North ("B" actress Marilyn Monroe look alike) and Jack Kelly (Bart Maverick- Brett Maverick's side kick of TV series fame). Come & see the museum at Tyson's Well Stage Station where the mar- riage records lay, as well as many other pioneer artifacts of Quartzsite which are on display. Summer hours are 10 or 11 to 12:30 p.m. on Thurs- days. MAYBE YOU ARE ONE OF HAGELY'S 'I DO' RECORDS! INQUIRE!!
