to repair and restore the building. On the night of installation,
many members of the community got to look around the newly
refreshed historic building during conducted tours.
While the joint installation was Tom Dolingers dream, it was
made possible by a few men who did not listen to the negativity
and drove ahead with their own time and labor to remake Greensboros Masonic home. Those men were recognized with a plaque
to be placed in the Temple. The plaque salutes Gene Godsoe, Arthur Marshal, Greg Woodard, and Dan Rice for the countless
hours of their time in restoring the Temple.

The camping season commences June 17 and runs through
July 31. Each one week segment costs $280. The kids, sponsored by Masonic lodges or Eastern Star chapters, enjoy
swimming, crafts, hiking, the ropes course, and other activities. They may see The Horn in the West, explore Grandfather Mountain, and enjoy other age appropriate activities as
time and weather permit.
The $280 camping fee covers all meals, crafts, and lodging
for the camp week which runs from Sunday afternoon until
Saturday morning. Contributions to defer cost of maintaining
Camp Rainbow are welcomed.
Reservations for kids should be sent to Camp Rainbow
no later than May 1, 2013. This allows planning and suitable
staffing of the camp. All checks should be made payable to
Camp Rainbow, Inc. Please share Camp Rainbows story with
your lodge.
Camp Rainbow is not just for girls and boys. The facilities
are available to all Masons and Eastern Stars for camping, weddings, family reunions, meetings, retreats, and more. Cabins and
hookups for campers are available from April through October,
except during the kids camping season.
A craft fair is held each fall to raise funds to defray some of
the cost of operating Camp Rainbow. The craft fair has a variety
of foods and crafts, an auction, and entertainment. It is open to
the public.
You can get details and more information by calling Dean
