CALL CELIA! Jason Crew, and Lowell Rogers, PE, President of Oak Strategic Inc., DRC Transmission,LLC, 10-West Link; present Doug Ross, member of the Arizona Sunriders OHV Club; and, Bruce Fuller, President, with a check for $3,500 for the Club's assistance with the alignment of the 10- West Transmission Line Project. The Ten West Link Project would provide a reliable 500-kilovolt trans- mission line connecting existing substations in Tonopah, Arizona and Riverside County, California, west of the City of Blythe. The proposed 114 mile route, with 97 miles in Arizona and 17 miles in California, would minimize land and resource impacts by largely following an exist- ing transmission lines in an established utility corridor or parallel to existing infrastructure. With the help of the Club and public input, the proposed route would bypass the town of Quartzsite. The Club will use the money to purchase tools and materials for off-road trail maintenance. The tools will be available to other local OHV Clubs as well. If you are interested in riding in the desert and want to help the Club with their endeavors Meetings are held 2nd Friday of the Month (November thru March) At the QIA, 235 E. Ironwood St. Quartzsite, AZ General Member Meeting – 10:00 am.
