March 9th at 7 p.m. the Gold Star club house will come alive with the duo "Heart to Heart." Sha- ron and Jerry Mays are Grammy and Dove nominees. They've just performed on the Grand Ole' Opry for the fifth time and they'll go back in June for another appearance. This is their second year in Arizona and they've done five tours of West- ern Texas. They have hosted the Branson Gos- pel Radio Show and the Mid-South Gospel Music Convention in Mis- souri. They're also the 2017-2018 Country Duo of the Year. Sharon recalls many big names in the music business coming to her home when she was growing up: Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Chet Atkins and Harold Jen- nings (before he became Conway Twitty.) Their Arizona schedule in- cludes: MARCH 9th at 7 P.M. Reggie has 16 Gospel albums and 10 gold and platinum records. He plays pop, rock, country and gospel. His background includes playing and writing for John Lennon, Alice Cooper, Liberace and Roy Orbison. He also played the Grand Ole Opry with Johnny Cash. Reggie spent seven days playing with Billy Gra- ham and has a collection of post- cards and books Billy Graham sent him. The manager of Liberace, Law- rence Welk, Ginger Rogers, Glen Campbell and Tom Jones hired Reggie for a five year contract as songwriter and recording artist. He also worked with Elvis Presley's songwriting team. He's been in the music business for 50 years, start- ing when he was 15 years old. He's done 80 TV shows. He modestly says, "I'm not the best but I'm not the worst either." With all the credits he has, one has to assume he's definitely "one of the best!"
