KUEHN ST., QUARTZSITE The Annual Quartzsite Historical Pageant "A Walk in the Past" was held February 23rd, 2019 at the Hi Jolly Cemetery. The pageant gave attendees a glimpse into the early pioneer lives and told brief histo- ries of the families buried there who helped in the founding of our his- toric town in 1867. Attendees heard about some of the founding families who were here when Quartzsite was called Tyson's Well as well as some of the people who came later when it became the Town of Quartzsite. Folks heard stories of lives lost and new lives born and raised here. If you missed the Pageant, be sure to visit Tyson's Stage Stop Museum at 161 W. Main Street next to Silly Al's Pizza. Parking in back. Free Ad- mission to Museum. Donations are greatly appreciated. The people who work there to keep the history alive have done an awe- some job and deserve a big thank you for preserving and sharing our past. Please pick up a cemetery bro- chure and you will fi nd a map of all the graves marked and a brief his- tory of who is buried in the pioneer section of the cemetery. The cem- etery is open to the public to visit at your leisure. Visit www.quartzsitemuseum.com for more details.
