It's that time again, when our rich local
history comes alive at the one and only
har-Ber Village museum in nearby Grove,
Oklahoma. re-opening on Saturday, march
16th, after a long winter break, the museum
will feature some brand-new exhibits
as well as the old favorites. Take a long
walk among nature's creations with the
beautiful backdrop of the Grand Lake O'
The cherokees. Try to stop by all of their
interactive stations and you'll learn a ton of
interesting stuff you never knew about your
own local history, art and science.
There are so many fun exhibits to get your
hands on at the har-Ber Village museum.
They give you and your adults separate
maps when you check in, so you can decide
what you want to check out first, compare
plans, and decide where to go from there!
at the admission desk, get your parents
to ask about the "Back-Pack Program" if
you're looking for a more in-depth trip to
the museum including activity cards with
different themes. Do you want to see their
natural history collection first, or save it
for last? Believe it or not, they have a big
ol' stuffed buffalo in there! If you've ever
thought about becoming a doctor, make
sure you find the old pioneer medical room
display. You may be shocked by what was
considered "cutting edge" technology back
in the day.
all-new this year, they will be having
"Special Saturdays" such as the Special
Baseball Exhibit on March 30th, a Canine
Themed Saturday on April 13th, and a Trail
Scavenger hunt on april 20th, to name
a few. as always, there are special events
happening at har-Ber Village fairly often.
Keep an eye out for the exciting new mining
minerals exhibit set to open this year. avoid
missing any special occasions by keeping
your eyes glued to the museum's website,
har-BerVillage.com, or by printing out their
event calendar.
