Cabrera was also the 2018 Ambassador of the Year, an award whose recipient is chosen by fellow Ambassadors. Shajn Cabrera is the President and Senior Broker for Centurion Insurance Group. He is also a retired U.S. Army Veteran, with 21 years of service to our Nation where he served as an Interrogator and Source Operator for the Department of Defense. He has a passion for helping people, and can be seen around Fayetteville wearing a t-shirt which reads "Selfless Service." He is fully engaged in the community through volunteering with several nonprofit organizations. He holds membership in The Greater Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce, Association of the United States Army, and Fayetteville Young Professionals. These organizations and engagements continue to provide wonderful opportunities to be of service and build a network of outstanding businesses and business professionals, always resulting in personal and professional growth. As a member of the local community and a businessman Jonathan Proffitt says it is important to give something back. Serving as Co-Chairman of the Chamber Ambassadors is just the latest means of doing that. He also serves as a member of the Fayetteville Young Professionals Steering Committee. Proffitt spends a considerable amount of his time working closely with the Greater Fayetteville Chamber. He says that the Chamber represents the single best focal point whereby businesses work together and receive the help they need to thrive in today's complex business environment. Chamber volunteers like Cabrera, Proffitt and the other Ambassadors, help the local business community thrive. They work to ensure Chamber members are fully engaged and accessing all the benefits that go along with being a member of the Greater Fayetteville Chamber. Proffitt is an Edward Jones financial advisor who helps individual investors focus on their financial goals and ways in which to reach them. He is s single father of three boys, and a veteran of the Army having served at Fort Bragg. He is a graduate of Campbell University with a Master's Degree in Trust and Wealth Management, and he continues his service as a member of the United States Army Reserves. Amidst all of this, he still carves out time to work with local community groups in addition to the chamber where he also coordinates events for local businesspeople.
