On behalf of e Greater Gravette Chamber of Commerce, welcome! We are proud to promote our businesses and community to our members, local residents, and the visitors to our area. Gravette was founded August 9, 1893 and is named aer Ellis Tillman Gravett, a merchant from the nearby settlement of Nebo in Chalk Valley. Gravett signed a right-of-way agreement with the Kansas City, Pittsburg, and Gulf Railroad Company (now Kansas City Southern) which planned to run a north-south railway from Kansas City to Port Arthur, TX. He moved his business to what is now Gravette, a few miles west of Nebo. We just celebrated 125 years! We are an active chamber that looks to advance its members' growth and prosperity, and provide increased opportunities and value for its membership. We recognize that local purchases support our community. e Chamber advocates for and unites the business community as well as providing events such as; e Greater Gravette Chamber Community Banquet, Smoke on the Border, Easter Eggstravaganza, Pickin-Time on 59, Fall Festival, a community Angel Tree, as well as scholarships for our local seniors.
