Our goal is to do as much good in the community as possible while also using our fraternal bond to strengthen the overall scholarship of the house. We have been working with Alpha Tau Omega fraternity as well as Gamma Phi Beta sorority every year with the Feed My Starving Children Project by volunteering at food drives and participating in many other philanthropic events throughout the semester. Some include Delta Delta Delta's "Greeks at Bat," which raises money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This year, we plan on starting a new tradition in setting up and playing a soap hockey game next to the chapter house to raise money for the MS Society. MS is an issue impacting the families of a few of our chapters brothers, so it is a cause we strive to get involved in as much as possible. Our fall recruitment was a great success. We believe to have found a group of new members who will continue to carry on the traditions and values this house was built on, as well as succeed academically and in the community. This semester has started off on a great foot with lots of events of that brothers have both organized and attended. Recruitment was fun for all involved, and we were introduced to many great people from many different backgrounds during the events we hosted. Recruitment Chairmen Jake Urdangen '21 and Sam Raes '21 took the potential new members around to meet brothers who live at places around campus. Brothers grilled food and ordered pizza to entertain the PNMs, and we ended with a great new class that is enjoying their time here. We have also hosted two date events that have all helped introduce our new member class to the rest of the brothers and our good friends who attended them. Our annual toga party was a fun time and a great first event for the new members to meet and have a good time with the older brothers in the house. We went to Farm Lake for our barn dance, which was a nice change of scenery and a great opportunity for us all to spend time together outside of campus. This school year will be filled with many activities and a strong will to make our presence known on the Illinois campus. Though our philanthropic, academic, and social efforts, we think we can make an impact for the better. However, none of this would be possible without the support of our alumni. We thank you for the foundation you created, and we hope if you are ever in the area that you stop by for a visit. We would love to see you.
