"Enjoy your time in college as it goes by quick," he advises undergraduates. "I want every undergrad to have the same experience I had–to build lifelong friendships, get involved, live the Cardinal Principles, and for the love of all that is holy, make your grades first semester! I didn't, and it was tough to endure." After graduation, David worked in consumer product sales until 1996, when he entered into the commercial real estate industry in Dallas. He now has his own commercial real estate brokerage, representing clients on leasing, sales and purchases. David and his wife, Teresa (OU graduate '86), live in Plano, Texas, and have raised a Sooner family. Peyton, their oldest daughter, graduated from OU in 2016, is a CPA in Tulsa and recently got married. Their twins, Jonathan '19 and Sullivan '19, are both OU SigEps, and Addison, their youngest daughter, is a freshman at OU and pledged Chi Omega.
