T
he fundraising efforts were successful,
but the Campaign Committee found that
lack of post-graduation connection was our
biggest obstacle. Consequently, the Campaign
Committee decided to organize an entity to
facilitate alumni contact, Omicron Alumni
Organization.
The purpose of OAO is to facilitate connection
between alumni, assist the Omicron Club,
recognize graduates, and mentor graduates.
Omicron Alumni Organization held its first
meeting at the Chapter House prior to the
Arkansas State game.
The first project was to encourage alumni game
day Chapter House visits by ensuring that Chapter
members identified each alumnus and welcomed
him. Every alumnus received an OAO name tag
facilitating recognition in the Chapter House.
Additionally, we also obtained correct cell
numbers and email addresses to facilitate future
communications. This contact information is
essential to effective communication from OAO.
With the encouragement of the Archon and
Historian, the undergraduates made the alumni
feel comfortable and welcome on game days.
Based on the success we had, this effort will
continue next year for every home game.
The OAO communications plan utilizes group
cell phone and email releases, in addition to
Facebook postings. A number of alumni have
received these communications, but our efforts
for accurate cell phone and email information
will make this form of communication much
more effective.
A number of alumni have volunteered to lead
particular efforts. Brothers who volunteered
are listed as indicated, but additional help is
necessary. Please contact any of the alumni
listed to volunteer for any activity. We need all
the help we can get.

The alumni group has designated the Historian as
the officer to assist OAO. The Chapter is going
to keep the alumni list with current information
and will have it available for alumni. Since the
list can be sorted by zip code, it is easy to find
alumni geographically near each other. It can
also be sorted by initiation dates, encouraging
contact with brothers from your era.
Fraternally,
