"When I was younger we always opened one gi on Christmas
Eve. It was usually pajamas. My husband and I now open one gi
(or more) on Christmas Eve and I hope to start the same tradition
with my daughter! Last year the tradition extended to my in laws
(which they were kind of against), but now we will do the same
this year!" - Mary Ours, Meteorologist
"A tradition that my family has been doing since I was young is the
hiding of the "Christmas Pickle." is tradition has even carried
over into my adulthood. Each Christmas morning, my mom will
hide a green pickle ornament deep into the tree. It then becomes
a race between my younger sister and myself to see who can find
the pickle first. e winner gets an extra gi already picked out
and wrapped by my mom. e fun, friendly competition has car-
ried over all these years, and makes Christmas morning that much
more fun with my family. For the record, I can't recall the last time
my sister beat me." - Sean Eiler, Anchor
"Christmas is a very important time of year for my family. Every
year, we all get together in my hometown in Delaware and my
Nonna visits from Florida. On Christmas Eve, we make an Italian
seven fishes dinner at my parent's house, then on Christmas night
we all gather for another delicious meal at my Aunt's house. So for
us, it really is all about enjoying delicious food and enjoying time
together during the most wonderful time of year!"
