ALPHA OMICRON CHAPTER OF ALPHA DELTA PI AT OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY FALL 2018 The Pride in Our Past, Building Our Legacy Continues to Push Toward $1.5 Million Send in Your Year-End Gift L ooking back on this year, Alpha Omicron has transformed during 97 hours of Giving. Through the support of alumnae and friends, our undergraduate sisters will be able to cultivate an even stronger sisterhood in the brand-new chapter house. Our Chapter's future at Oklahoma State University has never looked brighter. As you can see on page 4, our undergraduate sisters are thriving on campus. As they are doing their part, now is the time for us to do ours. Our four short years as collegiate members gave us incredible memories, necessary life skills, and enduring friendships. We did not leave Alpha Delta Pi behind when we graduated; it remains ingrained in our hearts and minds. The future of our Chapter depends not only on our undergraduate members, but on the strength and support of us as alumnae. To show what our years as members of Alpha Delta Pi have meant to us, we must come together this holiday season. This is where we need your help. If we remain on track toward our $1.5 million goal, we will be closing on financing in April and starting construction this spring. We are incredibly excited about the next chapter for Alpha Omicron, and hope you are as well. We have had great momentum as donations up to $150,000 were matched dollar-for- dollar, thanks to a gift from the Robbylee Burns Mitchell Trust (read more to the right). The $1.4 million already contributed by 311 alumnae brings us so close to our goal, but there is still more work to be done. As you consider where to designate your year-end charitable dollars, we hope you keep Alpha Omicron in mind and use the enclosed pledge form and return envelope to increase your pledge or make a gift to the Pride in Our Past, Building Our Legacy campaign today. Thank you again for your generosity, and we wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season. The event celebrated 97 years of the Alpha Omicron chapter on the Oklahoma State University campus and donations up to $150,000 were matched dollar-for-dollar, thanks to a gift from the Robbylee Burns Mitchell Trust. After the successful 97 Hours of Giving event, the Educational Housing Fund now totals $1.4 million! Fundraising efforts to raise the final $100,000 needed will continue and construction of the new chapter house is scheduled to begin in spring 2019. "Alpha Omicron's House Corporation Board is grateful for the over- whelming support we have received from alumnae, family and friends for this project," said Teresa Colpitts Smith '80, Alpha Omicron Chapter House Corporation President. "While our Board has provided the leadership and continued momentum for this endeavor, the success of this campaign lies solely on the shoulders of the enthusiasm and support of our individual donors and the collective belief in the value of this endeavor" she added. 97 Hours of Giving (Continued on page 5)
