YUMA, Ariz. – The Bureau of Land Manage- ment (BLM) is seeking public comments as it considers a mining plan of operation from Bo- nanza Explorations Inc., for the Copperstone Gold Mine Project. The proposed action would affect approximately 120 acres of public lands in La Paz County, Ariz. Public involvement is a vital component to the BLM's mission to strike a regulatory balance while developing sustainable energy and natural resource projects. Bonanza plans to operate the existing underground mine, expand the mill and tailings dam in order to recover gold over a pe- riod of 4 to 10 years. The BLM is soliciting public comments on the proposal prior to analysis of the proposed action in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act to identify signifi cant environmental issues. The BLM will accept public comments in writing until November 30, 2018. At the end of that comment period, the environmental analy- sis process will begin. The Mine Plan of Operation is available for re- view at https://go.usa.gov/xPUeX. Please use the following address to review the plan in person or submit your comments: BLM Yuma Field Offi ce, 7341 E. 30th Street, Yuma, Arizona 85365. If you are not able to review the plan in person or online, please contact the Yuma Field Offi ce at 928-317-3200 and one will be mailed to you.
