2 INDIANA ALPHA
From the heart
T
he Indiana Alpha AVC hosted a successful second annual Purdue Homecoming dinner in September.
More than 20 alumni from the 1950s through '90s and spouses met at Mountain Jack's Steakhouse on
Friday, October 21. A great time was had by all with excellent service and food. We made a SigEp toast
to those present, as well as those not in attendance. It was moving to have so many generations of brothers come
together to discuss their current lives as well as reminisce the times shared at the chapter house.
On Saturday morning, we held our annual meeting followed by breakfast and fellowship at the Purdue Memorial
Union. Alumni were updated on responsibilities of the AVC and voted on new board members. Progress was
shared regarding the chapter's recolonization and vision for the future.
"The seeds of a resurgence of Indiana Alpha at Purdue looked quite promising. It was great to see some familiar
faces as well," said Channing Mitzell '78. "All that attended were very enthusiastic and impressed with every-
thing that has been done so far to bring our great chapter back to Purdue University," added Christopher Kelly
'80. "Having said that, everyone also knows that so much more needs to be done. Please help anyway you can!
Indiana Alpha needs to be reborn!"
The weekend was one to remember, and we hope more brothers will mark their calendars for next year!
