Word about 18-year-old private-
label jeweler VIBHOR is starting
to mushroom, and with good
reason. The maker of die-struck
diamond essentials like bands and
bangle bracelets is gaining sales
momentum from its New York City
perch thanks to superior construc-
tion, speedy customer service, made
in platinum and 18k gold, including
a nickel-free variety of 18k white
gold.
"We manufacture our own
product right in New York City,"
explains Peter Smith, president,
who joined the company nearly
four years ago.
Smith and fi rm founder Manish
Dhadda ensure that 160 stores
nationwide can access the core
SKUs that account for upwards of
40 percent of all diamond jewelry
sales, and all under the store's
name. "Nowhere will you see our
jewelry sold as VIBHOR," says
Smith about the rising star among
private-label jewelry makers.
With turnkey programs that
ship in two to three weeks rather
than the industry standard of
four to six, along with U.S. manu-
