SIGMA ALPHA EPSILON PAGE 3 T he school year is in full swing for Montana Beta, and the chapter is working closely with Bill Buse- man, house director and eminent chef, to prepare our- selves for winter and the cold. Last semester, Montana Beta had the second highest GPA amongst fraternities on campus at a 2.87. Schol- arship chair Isaiah Katzenstein '20 runs study tables twice a week. He keeps track of upcoming exams, proj- ects, and presentations for those who attend. The chap- ter has a great system by pairing up members who have lower GPAs with members who have high GPAs so they can work together and create better study habits. Philanthropy Chairman Blake Baker '19 scheduled several opportunities for entire chapter to volunteer at the Missoula food bank this year. Blake is one of the head organizers for Best Buddies at the University of Montana, which works directly in creating friendships and opportunities for people with intellectual and de- velopmental disabilities. The chapter is thrilled to have Blake on board this semester as our philanthropy chair and can't wait to see what sort of impact Sigma Alpha Epsilon can make on our community. Montana Beta successfully recruited eight new mem- bers this fall who have all been initiated into our broth- erhood. It has been a pleasure having these true gentle- men join our chapter and they were able to meet and visit with many alumni during Homecoming. Thank you to all alumni who came to Homecoming. It is al- ways an honor for us to share the weekend with you. We enjoyed working with our Greek chapter partners Delta Gamma and Sigma Phi Epsilon. The chapter still participates in intramurals, but we did not have an intramural football team this year. There will be a basketball team for the winter season and hopefully another team for softball in the spring. I would like to thank every single brother, alumnus, and anybody who has helped me out these last few months as Eminent Archon. It has been an honor serving this chapter thus far, and I hope to continue our success into the rest of our semester. The Montana Beta chapter has been thriving lately, and I have enjoyed all the relation- ships we have gained with other chapters.
