I
am pleased to say I'm impressed with how well Montana Beta
is doing. The undergraduates are taking good care of the chapter
house. It's been 10 years since the major renovation took place, so
normal wear and tear is to be expected. We will continue to keep on
top of that. We still need to replace the siding when we can afford
to do so.
Our chef, Bill Buseman, also acts as our house director. His rapport
with the young men is a valuable asset to the general atmosphere of
the chapter, and the young men obviously like and respect him and
his cooking.
The chapter had close to a 3.0 GPA in the spring semester, rank-
ing second among the fraternities at the University of Montana and
above the university GPA. The goal for the fall semester is to exceed
a 3.0 GPA and be the top-ranked fraternity. I think they can do it with
the leadership of Eminent Archon Mick van den Bos '20.
We still need more alumni participation in the fraternity. Our lo-
cal alumni work very hard, but they could use the help of younger
alumni. Who will step up and get involved? I guarantee that it is a
rewarding experience. Our chapter needs you.

I would also like to thank all of those brothers who have so gen-
erously supported our fundraising efforts. Without your donations,
Montana Beta wouldn't exist.
