Members of Delta Chi Chapter at the 2017 Delta Tau Delta division conference in Wichita, Kansas. Chapter members at the Into the Street event last year helping with yard work and property cleanup. T he 2017-18 school year was one of unequivocal success for the men of Delta Chi Chapter. While we still had academics as a focus and stayed within the top 10 for both semesters, we achieved accomplishments in areas we couldn't have dreamed of just six or seven years ago. One example is Freshman Follies, as Delta Chi made the show for the first time in recent memory alongside Alpha Chi Omega. This was followed by a first-place finish in Spring Sing, where the chapter accumulated four additional awards with Chi Omega, strengthening the fraternity's reputation as a "show house" just five years after participating in its first show in 2014. Second, the chapter not only built a full Homecoming deck with the women of Alpha Omicron Pi but also continued our long tradition of hosting the Homecoming carnival, where over $7,000 was raised and donated to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Finally, Delta Chi received recognition as an exemplary chapter at our division conference this year. Our men held the honor of performing the ritual and left the conference with a Court of Honor and three more awards, including best road programming and highest GPA. In my three years with this fraternity, I have witnessed firsthand how a chapter can improve and grow in every measurable, and intangible, area. But what gives me the most comfort is that I have seen new leaders emerge during each passing semester, which gives both my executive team and me the relief that Delta Chi will continue on this upward trajectory long after we've graduated. Fraternally, Thomas Fleming '19 Chapter President
